Granite is a igneous rock with grains large enough to be visible with the naked eye. It is formed from the slow crystallization of magma below Earth's surface. Granite is composed mainly of quartz and feldspar with minor amounts of minerals. The minerals are what gives granite their unique colors which are visible throughout the rock.

Marble is a rock resulting from metamorphism of sedimentary carbonate rocks, like limestone and dolomite rock. The characteristic swirls and veins of many marbles are usually due to various mineral impurities such as clay, silt, sand, and such. These various impurities have been mobilized and recrystallized by the intense pressure and heat of the metamorphism.

Quartz is a man-made engineered stone formed by combining 90% ground quartz, a natural hard mineral, with 8-10% resins, polymers, and pigments. This forms a very hard and durable material. It does not require sealing and it is easy to maintain.

Quartzite is a naturally occurring metamorphic rock. It is created when sandstone is subjected to extreme heat and pressure caused by tectonic plate compression in the crust of the Earth. Then the stone is mined and sawn into slabs.

Maintenance

Whether you have natural stone or quartz, all you need is mild soap, water and a soft cloth in order to keep your countertops always looking beautiful.. Simple as that!
